Let us pray for all couples preparing for marriage. There are so many challenges they must face.
Jesus, please help these men and women as they try to follow you. Help them meet the challenges they face in this world.
Bring them closer to you.
Amen
 
Dear God, in their relationship let their love be unconditional. Let them seek each other’s true good. Let their appreciation of each other’s unique preciousness be a song of praise to You and of petition for the other. Grant them serenity and blessing in their trials and in their joys.

The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.

Loving God,

We thank you for the beautiful sacrament of holy matrimony and for all your people who have and will enter into this most blessed state of life. We ask for the power of your Holy Spirit to grant strength and strong faith to all married couples and to help them realize that our Lord is a participant in each marriage as the man and woman are joined into one flesh and with our Lord. This is such a sacred blessing that we must continually ask for your healing and blessings on all marriages and all married persons because the world does not regard this state of life with the same wonderful character and holiness as you do, O Lord. Please strengthen all marriage encounter programs; all precana programs; all forms of marriage preparation programs; all marriage counseling programs; and all people who minister to married persons so the joy, peace, bountiful blessings, love of spouse and children, and honor and duty of the married state of life will be manifested in each and every marriage in this world. Please grant wisdom, insight, a loving nature, compassion, coping skills, and good communications skills along with a strong faith and belief in the sacrament to all who marry in this world.

We thank you for this wonderful sacrament and for all the good and positive things that result from these beautiful marriages, and we pray that your blessing and guidance will be granted to all who enter this state of life.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

I would like to join in prayer for all couples preparing for marriage, especially my youngest daughter and her fiance, who met through Christ, but seem to forget Him in many ways now. We are thrilled they are planning to marry. Please pray for their love to grow through Him, in Him and with Him. Amen 🙂
