I have been finding it hard to do what I think God has been asking me to do at work. At work, mostly all of my co-workers desecrate and commit blasphemies against God, uttering the most disturbing statements against Him. Oftentimes I ask myself whether or not I would be able to stand up against someone who says something bad against someone that I love, and my refusal to say anything to my co-workers outright discourages me. I don’t even find myself getting angry whenever they do say those things about God. I feel like a coward and a hypocrite, and I hate the feeling. How can I truly say that I love Him if I’m not even willing to stand up and die for Him, just like He died for me on the Cross, incurring all that mockery and scorn for His love of me? Whenever the opportunity comes for me to stand up for Him and defend His name, I tend to back out, preferring comfort instead of respectful confrontation of the matter. I just pray that I will find the courage to stand up for my God, who I am trying to love more and more each day, whenever the need arises, and that I will stop placing pleasure and comfort above Him.
Thank you and God bless.
