Please ask the Lord to deliver me from the spirit of shyness and low self esteem and for the Lord to give me confidence especially in the big crowd of people. Thank you

Prayers for you, for your public speaking and confidence.

The novena to St. Anthony of Padua (1195-1231) “St. Anthony was known in his short but quite memorable life as an eloquent speaker whose sermons defending the truths of the Catholic Church strengthened countless people in their faith.”

I greet you, Saint Anthony, lily of purity, ornament and glory of Christianity. I greet you, great saint, filled with divine love. I rejoice at the favors our Lord has so generously bestowed on you. I humbly and confidently entreat you to help me, for I know that God has given you charity and pity, as well as power.

Good Saint Anthony, meek and humble in spite of your great gifts, and whom we invoke so confidently to help us find that which is lost, pray, I beg of you, that I may never lose my faith, the gift that I cherish most.

Behold my needs: (mention your request). I beg of you, by the love you felt toward the little Jesus when He embraced you so lovingly, to tell Him now of my wants. Remember how complete your happiness was when you held Him in your arms.

I venerate you, glorious favorite of God, and bow my guilty head before you in humble reverence, while I raise my sad heart full of hope toward the throne of divine mercy, and to you, my intercessor. He who placed Himself in your arms will now fill your hands with all I ask of you.

Obtain for me what I desire, if it be God’s holy Will, and I will make known the wondrous power of your intercession for the greater glory of God. Amen.

Prayer of St. Dymphna

Lord, our God, You graciously chose St. Dymphna
as patroness of those afflicted with mental, emotional,
and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and
a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure
youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering
such trials, and especially those for whom we pray.

We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna
for TrueFaithSeeker’s behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray
patience in their sufferings and resignation to Your divine will.
Please fill them with hope, and grant them the relief
and cure they so desire.

We ask this through Christ our Lord, who suffered
agony in the garden. Amen.

:signofcross:

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Dear God, give me courage,
for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.

I need courage before men against their threats
and against their seductions.

I need courage to bear unkindness,
mockery, contradiction.

I need courage to fight against the devil,
against terrors and troubles, temptations,
attractions, darkness and false lights,
against tears, depression, and above all fear.

I need Your help, dear God.

Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.

Console me with Your blessed Presence
and grant me the courage to persevere
until I am with You forever in heaven.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon TrueFaithSeeker in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.

Take good courage in that you are not alone. Moses when called said that he was a terrible speaker and was afraid to go to Egypt because he couldnt speak infront of people.

Remember there are introvers and extroverts in the world. This country doesnt always value introverts as it is so competitive but other countries such as Japan it is highly esteemed.

Lord, I pray for this person to come to love themselves and appreciate their uniqueness. Help them to see they are not alone. Many people dont like crowds. Help them to be ok with being different. To see the good parts of their life. A love of reading? A good prayer life? Being ok with being alone? Help them to see the good and not the bad, amen

I’m praying for you. May the Lord grant you boldness and confidence.

Praying that you may have a healthy self confidence. I second the other post about extroverts and introverts. Being introverted is not a bad thing, but in general, our world notices and values extroverts more.

One of the advice I’ve often read is fake it 'til you make it. Pretend like you’re confident, even if you don’t feel it, and eventually you would become confident.

Somewhat related. As a kid, I got to read a Berenstain Bears story. Their mom was sick of the brother and sister being mean to each other, and ordered them to act nicely. The siblings hatched a plan to act super extra nice, so that their mom would realize how annoying it could be. They did as planned, and what happened was that they eventually liked acting nice to each other, it became natural and not acting anymore. Another example of fake it 'til you make it.

Best wishes and God bless.
