Here we go again; one of my best friends is going through some horrible depression - way too much is going on in his life. It’s getting worse than it has in a while, and I don’t know what to do; all I can do is pray. Please pray with me, for his strength, protection, and healing. St. Monica, St. Jude, St. Dymphna, St. Augustine, St. Peter, pray for us! Amen.
 
I’m praying for him. May the Lord heal him of depression. I also struggle with depression; God never gives us more than we can handle, though. Be optimistic! the Lord knows how to rescue people from depression. My depression is rather dormant thanks to Him, and it used to control my life.
 
Depression, to me, is another word for
self-absorption the only anti-dote to this
is to STOP living for yourself and think
and love OTHERS, pray for them and
their interests. Jesus first, Others sec-
ond and Yourself last, spells JOY!!

  • be always with her.
    And, help her to bring this

PRAYER TO BL. JANE OF AZA

Dearest Jane, we earnestly give to you our petitions this day. We have confidence in your intercession because you were once a wife and mother like so many of us. Born to a noble family, you were married to another noble and gave birth to five children. When the eldest two boys became priests, you went to the shrine of St. Dominic Silos to beg for another son to carry on the family name and line. Your prayers were answered in the form of a dream in which St. Dominic Silos came you and said this child would be a shining light for the Church.

A son was born to you, and you called him Dominic after the saint who commended your request to God. As he grew to manhood, it was evident that he had extraordinary virtue and grace. You too allowed him to study for the religious life. He was the founder of the Dominicans.

Since through a Saint’s petitions your urgent prayers were granted, we beseech you to listen to our prayers and lay them at the feet of Jesus. Please pray for our families, our children, for all those who have strayed from the Faith which you and your son so loved, and for all those who will die this day, especially priests and religious. Please also include this young man who is struggling with crippling depression. Thank you, Bl. Jane. Amen.
