Please pray for how I might best be the supportive father I can to my adult children who are still are affected by distrust bred from a difficult divorce. St. Monica, may I persevere in my prayers for them as you did for you son, St. Augustine. May I continue the work of forgiveness that the Lord began in me toward my children’s mother. Please, Father, quell my heart’s desire of righteous justice that I may seek only Your desire for her soul. I lift up my oldest daughter and youngest son, especially Lord, to guide them in their journeys for peacefulness and graced discernment.

Finally, Lord I ask your grace for a friend and sbilings and their mother Estel, whose age and dementia bring her closer to joining You. Thank you for hearing our prayers and for Your love that creates all that we have and are until, too, we might join You in Your heavenly banquet forever. Amen.

O merciful Father,
Who have wonderfully fashioned man in Your own image,
and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit,
sanctify, we pray You, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to
…study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain.
Strengthen them in body and soul,
and bless their work,
that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation Your Son became Man,
lived on this earth, healed the sick,
and suffered and died on the Cross.
