Thank you guys so much for your prayer. I am trying to finish the rest of the school year, but I have been contemplating my vocation, and any time it becomes probable that God is calling me to be a monk I get extremely irritable and lash out at people. I’ve already been to confession twice in the past two days and now after talking to someone about it at lunch (where I learned that Benedictine monastic life is completely devoid of conversation and you spend most of your time alone) I just about lost it and when she said that “everything will work out for good” I lashed out and said “No it won’t. It won’t work out for most of humanity”. I think I will need to go to confession again and was wondering if you guys could pray for me that I would not forsake Christ and that I would be able to make it to confession again.

I can’t think about my vocation without getting like this, and I wanted to ask for your prayers that God would have mercy on me without having to resort to severe chastisement.

I have known plenty of Benedictine (OSB) monks, and that is not their daily life. If you believe you have a monastic vocation, investigate the many different orders that have quite different daily lives, including (it seems) different sorts of Benedictines. God bless you.

I’m praying for you. May the Lord help you discern what your calling is and may He also help you control your anger.

Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art Thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of Your womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death. Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Bdonoho
in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Prayed for your intention in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Do you pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet daily? I really hope you do. Also, I humbly suggest that you read the Diary of St. Faustina.

OUR GOD IS MERCIFUL

Jesus to St. Faustina:

“I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those who TRUST in My mercy.” (687)

“I desire trust from My creatures. Encourage souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy. Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all will be drowned in the immeasurable depths of My mercy.” (1059)

Psalms 103: 8-10

“The LORD is merciful and loving, slow to become angry and full of constant love.
He does not keep on rebuking; He is not angry forever. He does not punish
us as we deserve, or repay us according to our sins and wrongs.”

Please trust in GOD’s unfathomable and immeasurable mercy.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our safeguard against the wiles and wickedness of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen. 🙏

Prayer to Know Vocation

My Lord Jesus Christ, who died for my salvation,
I implore You, through the merits of Your passion,
to give me light and strength to choose that state
of life which is best for my salvation. Speak, Lord,
for Your servant is listening. Let me know what You
wish from me, and I will do all; and let me especially
know in what state You wish me to serve You;
make known to me the way in which I should walk,
in order to reach heaven. And you, my loving Mother
Mary, obtain this grace for me through thy powerful
intercession. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Prayer for Peace of Mind

Fortify me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit,
and give Your peace to my soul that I may be
free from all needless anxiety, solicitude, and
worry. Help me to desire always that which is
pleasing and acceptable to You so that Your
will may be my will. Through Christ Our Lord,
amen.

– St. Frances Xavier Cabrini

Thank you so much for your prayers. I am trying to get through today right now and it seems that any time I think about my potential future of being a monk I am unable to fully submit to it because of my pride, self-love and fear. It torments me all the time and while I experience momentary release while praying the rosary, when I get to actually thinking about it I get miserable and unable to do my daily duties. I just read today that ultimately my salvation is at stake in choosing my vocation, and I just know that I am not humble or disciplined enough to do this alone, and the torment of not trusting God is tearing me apart. I can’t do this anymore, please pray for me I hate myself.
