Except for my husband, my birthday generally gets ignored by everyone (co-workers, online friends etc.), as I’ve never been comfortable with announcing it’s my birthday so they just don’t know when it happens. I think I am also afraid that if I did say it was my birthday, everyone would respond with a shrug and a “So what, who cares” or worse yet feel guilted into giving me some “celebration” that they would complain about or laugh at me behind my back.
So I can relate a bit.
CrabNebula, I hope you have a nice day and treat yourself and get out into the sunshine. Jesus is happy it is your birthday and he will be at any celebration you personally choose to make.
