God, our Father, I turn to You seeking Your divine help and guidance as I look for suitable employment. I need Your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. I wish to use the gifts and talents You have given me, but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to You with praise and thanksgiving for Your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Bless, O Lord of the centuries and the millennia, the daily work by which men and women provide bread for themselves and their loved ones. We also offer to Your fatherly hands the toil and sacrifices associated with work, in union with Your Son Jesus Christ, who redeemed human work from the yoke of sin and restored it to its original dignity.

Dear St. Joseph. You who taught our Lord the skills and value of work. Join with us to pray for Carolyn72850, Don’t Lose Heart, catmom50’s husband, my cousin and all those who are in search of a job. Help them to find a rewarding job here and help them to do God’s work and earn the everlasting reward. Amen.

Loving God,

We lift up our hearts and minds in thanks and praise to you for another opportunity to love and serve you and your people this day. We ask for your divine mercy and care for all our brothers and sisters who are out of work and are concerned about their abilities to support their familes and themselves. We ask that you send them your peace and help them to persevere in the face of adversity and worry about this situation in their lives. Please help them to find the basic dignity in work that all of your people need and deserve as your children, and help those who can provide work to reach and employ those in most need of work. Help all of us to do everything we can to assist those who are out of work in their job search, and to take risks and make recommendations to help your people who might not otherwise have the door of employment opened to them. Please bless the job search efforts and hear the prayers of the many who need your love most now.

We pray especially for all of our relatives and friends who need work and all on the CAF forum.

We pray in the name of Christ Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Gracious and loving God, you know our need for meaningful work. Send your Holy Spirit to guide those who are searching for employment. Help them to recognize the gifts and talents you have given them.

Deepen their desire to follow your will. Inspire them as they contact potential employers. Give them patience as they wait for responses. Shelter them from feelings of rejection. Protect them from discouragement. Give them courage to overcome fear.

Shower on them the graces they need to persevere. Let this time of searching become an opportunity to grow in faith, to cultivate the virtue of hope, and to experience your healing love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!
