Our God, please have mercy on those who are losing their jobs…and their businesses…and their homes, and sometimes their marriages due to financial stresses.
Please help the unemployed to find work, including graduates.
Please help single parents and marriage partners to find suitable work to support their families.
Have mercy Jesus in these serious issues for lives and relationships. Please help families to survive economically and emotionally. Please surround them with Your light and love.

Jesus please encourage an improvement in the economy so that unemployment issues and financial difficulties ease.

Please circumvent the greed of those who profit on the misery of others. Our God please flood into those who have great wealth to make to difference in the economy, and in those who triggered this depression through their greed, the compassion and generosity to genuinely and sacrificially labour to do so, in order that individuals and families are guaranteed their jobs and secure futures.

To God be the glory! I’m sorry I hadn’t posted this sooner, but even as I’m still working at my current full-time job, about a month ago I was offered my first “official-unofficial” freelance design project. A man I know who works for a cable company produces a local high school sports show that broadcasts via this particular cable network, and he has offered me the opportunity to redesign some high school athletic logos. He will also pay me for the work that I will do for him; I haven’t received all the material yet (along with a DVD of the show he produces), but I am looking forward to working on this project with much eagerness.

I am praying and hoping that God has greater things in mind for me, and that this may be a first step in the right direction. In the meantime, I am grateful to God every day that I still have modestly gainful employment; I will continue to pray for all those who are unemployed and searching for work.

Lord God, You are gracious and good to all who call on You in their need. Thank you for answering my prayers; please bend me to Your will, so that I may follow the path You have set for my future and do whatever work I have for Your greater honor. Tonight I come humbly before Your throne to ask for Your Divine Providence to help all those who have lost their jobs and cannot find work. Though I am but a sinner, I trust that, in Your mercy, my prayer and the prayers of others for the unemployed will be heard. Thank You, Father God; may the intercession of St. Joseph the Worker, spouse of the Virgin Mary, be our consolation and help. Amen. :gopray:
