Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Dear Lord,

We lift up our hearts and minds in thanks and praise to you for another opportunity to love and serve you and your people this day. We ask for your divine mercy and care for all our brothers and sisters who are out of work and are concerned about their abilities to support their familes and themselves. We ask that you send them your peace and help them to persevere in the face of adversity and worry about this situation in their lives. Please help them to find the basic dignity in work that all of your people need and deserve as your children, and help those who can provide work to reach and employ those in most need of work. Help all of us to do everything we can to assist those who are out of work in their job search, and to take risks and make recommendations to help your people who might not otherwise have the door of employment opened to them. Please bless the job search efforts and hear the prayers of the many who need your love most now.

We pray especially for all of our relatives and friends who need work including my sister in law Barbara, and all on the CAF forum.

We pray in the name of Christ Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

The patron saint of my hometown is St. Joseph the Worker.

I pray the following prayer for all those seeking a job (especially my own sister, who has been unemployed for almost six months now), and also to those who have jobs but find no satisfaction in it.

Dear Patron of God’s Church,
you are honored by her as the Worker,
the humble carpenter of Nazareth.
According to St. Theresa of Avila,
you are universal in your intercessions.
Inspire workers of all kinds
to walk ever in your footsteps as faithful servants
coupling charity with justice
and becoming true followers of Jesus.

Thank you all very much for the prayers.

I am heading out right now for a job interview. I have been looking since the first week of January, and this is only the second time I have been called for an interview. Please pray they don’t think I’m over qualified for this job. It sounds like a nice one for me!

Thanks,
Peggy

My Loving God…You have blessed me with employment. Thanks be to You for your Glory and leading me to work after being unemployed for so long. God…there is so much unemployment in this economy. I have been blessed by You and I ask that You help my brothers and sisters who are still struggling with trying to find work. I ask that You help and lead our leaders to find a way to fuel the economy and get us jump-started once again. This time has been so devastating for so many of us. Yes…I lost my home and was on the verge of bankruptcy but You came to my rescue. I am not worthy when so many are so deserving. Please hear our prayers, loving God, our trust and faith is within You and You alone. Amen

O Lord, during these difficult economic times, we your people need hope more than ever to see Your hand in all things, trusting that you will deliver us, provide for us, and sustain us in the most basic ways of being sustained. You know, Lord, that families are being torn apart, houses broken, confidence crushed as a result of so many people being unable to find work and to support their families. Help us all Lord! For those who are fortunate enough to have jobs, let them help those without jobs! For those without jobs, let them find fruitful ways of using their talents for the good and profit of all! Send Your Holy Spirit upon us all, whether in abundance or scarcity, to see that You love us greater than even the lilies of the field, providing for us with the eternal bread of heaven.

O Mother, hear our prayers.
