Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

We lift up our hearts and minds in thanks and praise to you for another opportunity to love and serve you and your people this day. We ask for your divine mercy and care for all our brothers and sisters who are out of work and are concerned about their abilities to support their familes and themselves. We ask that you send them your peace and help them to persevere in the face of adversity and worry about this situation in their lives. Please help them to find the basic dignity in work that all of your people need and deserve as your children, and help those who can provide work to reach and employ those in most need of work. Help all of us to do everything we can to assist those who are out of work in their job search, and to take risks and make recommendations to help your people who might not otherwise have the door of employment opened to them. Please bless the job search efforts and hear the prayers of the many who need your love most now.

We pray especially for all of our relatives and friends who need work including Diane (onwillowbay), Peggy in Burien, Bruce, sojournersolo, jamesneiman, Keith A., Greg M., my oldest son, and all on the CAF forum.

Loving God,

We lift up in prayer the intentions and needs of our friends Deacon Ed B and his dear wife Bobbie. Lord, they have been through a great deal, and Bobbie has been dealing with difficult health issues for some time, and we ask for your mercy and blessings on these dear people today and each day. Please send your warm and comforting Holy Spirit to be present with Deacon Ed and Bobbie, and fill them with complete trust in your divine providence. Please grant courage and strength to their friends and family members who care so much for them and are so worried now. Please heal our friends, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will, and grant them peace, strong faith, hope, and total love for one another as each has a difficult road ahead. Lord we know you love us and want the best for us, please share an indication of your love with these dear people to provide the continued strength and perseverance they will need to endure this suffering and join with the suffering of your beloved Son Jesus.

Lord, we thank you for hearing our persistent prayers and petitions in the past, and we are confident that your love will be showered upon Deacon Ed and Bobbie in the mysterious ways that only you understand. Please help us to continue to pray with great fervor and effect for our friends.

Since you all have prayed for me and I received a job through the miraculous intercession of the saints, I felt it only right that I should pray for others, too. 🙂

*O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.*
 
Please pray for me and my family as I look for work. Please pray that I learn and grow. I ask you all for your prayers to sustain me in this dark time and ask that you ask your friends to pray for me and my family. If at all possible, please pray the Memorare to Our Dear Blessed Lady that I may be able to take care of my family and should my intentions be granted, that I first praise God for all good things and then do my best to be a witness that from Him all good things come.
