Please keep Father James V. Schall SJ in your thoughts and prayers. His family have indicated that he has decided to forego further medical treatment and he will likely pass on soon. I am sure Fr. Schall, a former Professor of Philosophy at Georgetown University and one of the best thinkers and essayists in the Catholic faith in modern times, needs little introduction to the members of CAF.

His decline in health is a shock to me and breaks my heart, given that I am a regular reader of Crisis Magazine and Catholic World Report, both of which he regularly contributed to, and I absolutely loved his insights and wisdom

God, Heavenly Father, I ask that Your Will may be done. Give to Father James V. Schall SJ for whom I pray what You know to be best for his soul.

Give us Your Holy Spirit to enlighten us, to correct us, and to guide us in our current situations.

God, Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ crucified, Your Divine Son, I beg You to grant us the grace to accept your holy Will.
