I had asked prayers for Gert quite some time ago. She gets those needles in her eyes to try to stop the progress of macular degeneration. Sounds like torture, but she is one strong woman. The thing is, there is no way to know if they are working. She will still lose her sight, but if they’re doing their job, it will be a slower process. This is something she must do forever unless she wants to lose her sight quickly.
Pray for her. She is also having problems with her back still, from a fall some months back. She is 90 and lives alone, but has help. One of her daughters lives on the street behind her house, and can see her back windows from her home. And she has one of those ‘alert’ buttons now in case she needs help.
This is one great lady. Please pray for God’s Will in her life. And that when it is her time to go home, that He will be merciful and take her quickly with minimum suffering.
