Please pray. Failed at everything in my life and now going back to school with no money really makes it ever more difficult. I quit a job because the newly promoted boss insulted me and my family…“with issues like you have it makes a good argument against people having children”. I felt so humiliating by all the engineers I worked with and really feel like I let everyone down. Why is life so hard even though I obviously have talent but not the desire to succeed at any cost, like family. Truthfully, I keep wondering what social security would be worth to my wife and children without me. Not going down that road but that’s how I feel.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
For you to have; the ears to hear, the eyes to see the gentleness of a dove and the wisdom of a serpant.

Child of God, I used to struggle with issues of “failure” too. But then I realized who am i trying to prove myself to? I don’t need to prove myself to the world. The world will pass away…it is a trickle…it is nothing. THe ancient good book says so!
You don’t have to prove yourself to anyone. You are already more precious than words will ever say, more treasurable than all the treasures of earth, and worth more than anything the earth has to offer. You are already spectacular. Just because a rose thinks its a tulip doesn’t make it one. Just because you think you’re a failure doesn’t make you one either.

Don’t listen to that knid of talk. The devil is talking through him. THe devil is a liar. Would you belive anything if the devil said it himself? That kind of talk comes from the devil! Remember, satan wants to make you unhappy. Do not listen to the devil.

NEVER CONFUSE NET WORTH WITH SELF WORTH!!

stay strong, God bless you!!

I was watching a show and began to google bipolar disorder and came up with this. We used to talk about it in our family as manic. When I was young I didn’t really know what it meant. But looking at my family today I’m beginning to believe that maybe my dad’s family is “touched” by this at least on a mild level. I work really hard at living my life right. I go through great extents to be a good father and good husband. But this last situation motivated me to do as I said. My family is all that I have and the only thing worth anything to me. I notice my aunts behavior and the fact my older brother committed suicide in a really bad state of mind. We usually said he was manic, but had bad moments when he crashed. He drank. I purposefully avoid drinking much and less frequent. Drug and Alcohol abuse seems to run in the family. I’ve been to doctors and was diagnosed with severe depression. I agree. But when things are going well I do fine. And since I avoid trouble I usually can do well for long periods of time. My ability to control my reactions is pretty good but the medicine I take really takes the edge off of me. I worry that it may cause me to stoop into lows at times. But there is no way to know for sure I think. Could it really be a mild case of bipolar disorder? Any doctors out there? Unemployed, insurance and affordability is all a problem. I would just go see someone it I knew we could afford it. But my love for God and my family is greater than any stupid thoughts of harming myself. I get it and always did. So doing the unspeakable won’t make me do something dumb. But it would be nice to make sure. My wife is a teacher and I’m not sure how good her insurance compares to what mine did prior to resigning in February.

Lord, please help eucharisteo not be depressed over what happened at work and please help him find a good job soon. Help him keep strong in faith, hope and love and help him find a good spiritual director to assist him to keep spiritually strong and healthy. A good, holy spiritual director can heal his soul more than anything or anyone other than you. He is suffering and needs someone to asist him with his struggles right now. Please get him to reach out to someone holy. Please help him not to neglect his spiritual life because of depression, worry over not having a job, or worry over the possibility of being one who suffers from mania. Help him cling to you and place all his confidence in you with total abandonment to your merciful love. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Christ is the bread of life, and on the last day he will raise up those who have shared the feast of his body and blood. Therefore with joy we pray:
– Lord, give us peace and joy.

You are the Son of God – raised from the dead, you are the Lord of life:
bless and sanctify us and all our brethren.
– Lord, give us peace and joy.

You give peace and joy to all who believe in you:
let us walk as children of light and rejoice in your victory.
– Lord, give us peace and joy.

Give your help to your Church in her pilgrimage on earth:
help her to bear witness to your resurrection.
– Lord, give us peace and joy.

Having suffered much, you entered into the Father’s glory:
look upon those who mourn and turn their sadness into rejoicing.
– Lord, give us peace and joy.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Almighty and eternal God,
you regenerated us through baptism
and thus conferred on us the life of heaven.
You have justified us and made us capable of immortality:
guide us so that we may reach the fullness of glory.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm; and may he lead us to eternal life.
AMEN

Praying my heart out for you. God loves you, please persevere.

Lord Jesus Christ,
I’m upset and disturbed,
and I pray that You will grant me
the grace of inner Peace.
As You commanded the storm winds at sea to be calm,
command the storms in my life to be calmed.
Give me the patience I need
to cope with the burdens and anxieties of my life.
Grant me the strength to better deal with my problems,
and the understanding to be more tolerant
and kind to others.
Teach me to seek after Your will
which alone brings peace of mind
and peace of heart.
Amen.
