For Gettysburg, PA

I went to Gettysburg recently and I was disturbed by a number of shops ranging from fortune telling/spiritism kind of stuff to full on Neo-Pagan memorabilia. Most of the card reading, fortune telling, etc. was in the tourist/junk shop part so I would ask for prayers especially for those who think doing things like this (I assume these are the majority) are just innocent tourist-trap fare. I have prayed Our Lady Untier of Knots and the prayer for conversion of sinners from the Chaplet of Divine Mercy (not to mention my daily Chaplet of Divine Mercy) for those involved and would like to ask for your prayers for the repentance of these folks. Feel free to add any place where you’ve witnessed anything like this.

I unfortunately have walked past quite a few sinful places in Washington DC. I pray to St. Michael every time I see one of those places…that he will convert those running them as well as prevent anyone from going inside. I picture him, sword in hand, standing over the door and spearing any demons inside the place and those leading folks inside.:knight2:

The truly sad thing is that many think ouija boards, card reading, etc. are just a toy. I remember reading a priest saying “Satan isn’t picky.” If anyone could direct to this article, it was an interesting read.

Also, I’ve read that Saint John Paul II is effective against this kind of thing, so I will pray for his intercession and it would not hurt if anyone else would like to join in.

These things are all over the place! It even infiltrated a Catholic gift shop! A Bishop had all the bad stuff removed.
