Went at 12:30 this am to Barnes & Noble. (avoid the crowds – HA). Didn’t pre-order, have never pre-ordered in the past, just enjoyed the party until our numbers were called. . . This time, we were turned away and told that we couldn’t get the book until 8 AM.
Went at 12:45 to Books A Million across the street. The doors were locked and an employee outside told us the fans had “trashed” the place and to come back at 9AM.
1:00 went to Super K Mart down the road. No one there! Purchased our copies, then stopped at McDonalds for junk food.
1:20 DD was locked in her room with a huge bag of chips, a six pack of cola, a big bag of M&M’s (which we’d also purchased at Super K Mart), chicken nugggets, fries, her book, and a “do not disturb” sign on the door. She says we won’t see her until she’s finished the book. She’s been warned about giving out spoilers to her dad and me. . .
It’s the last book; I’m planning on savoring it this afternoon and on sucessive afternoons until the saga ends.:crying:
It was a fun Mother-Daughter road trip!
