God of all creation, You who spoke a simple command and
brought forth light from the darkness, I ask You now to send
forth Your miracle working power to heal this man in a coma.
You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, You empowered the crippled
to rise up and walk. You sent forth your life giving power to
all those in need, including those You raised from the dead.
I ask You to send forth your healing power into his body
and give him the strength to fight for his life. I ask this through
my Lord, Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with
You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen

God You told us to forgive those who hurt us. And yet, during
times like this we find it hard to do. Deliver us from the hatred
we feel toward the person who beat this man, and protect him
from the attacks of the evil one. Inspire him, Father God, to
seek repentance, ask for forgiveness, and amend his ways. Help
us Dear God to forgive him, turn him away from the enemy
and back to Your Truth. We ask this through the holy and
precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

O God, send forth Your Holy Spirit into our hearts that we may perceive,
into our minds, that we may remember, and into our souls that we may
meditate. Inspire us to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy.
Teach, guide and direct our thoughts and senses from beginning to end.
May Your grace ever help and correct us, and may we be strengthened
now with wisdom from on high, for the sake of Your infinite mercy.

Heavenly Father, Your blessed Son asked that His Church be
one as You and He are one, but Christians have not been
united as He prayed. We have isolated ourselves from each
other and failed to listen to each other. We have misunderstood
and ridiculed and even gone so far to attack each other. In so
doing we have offended against You, against all our brothers
and sisters in the Church, and against all who have not
believed in You because of our scandalous disunity. Forgive
us, Father, and make us fully one. Blot out our sins, renew our
minds, enkindle our hearts, and guide us by Your Holy Spirit
into the oneness which is Your Will.
