Remember O Most Gracious Virgin Mary
That never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection
Implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided
Inspired by this confidence, I fly to thee
O Virgin of Virgins, my mother
To thee do I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful
O Mother of the Word Incarnate
Despise not my petitions
But in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Sub Tuum Praesidium
We fly to thy patronage, O Holy Mother of God
Despise not our petitions in our necessities
But deliver us always from all dangers
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen
 
Our children and family love

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, please give us unconditional love for each other. Let us be sensitive to each other’s needs, and ready to make allowances for each other’s weakness or disposition.

Help us to interact courteously and honestly, without fear of rejection. Let us encourage each other to develop our talents and potential. Help us lead each other to goodness and wholeness, through mutual encouragement and kindness.

Where it is beneficial, give us wisdom to correct each other lovingly and firmly, without harsh criticism that damages relationship and self-esteem. Give us wisdom not to be reactively unkind or restrictive, or opposed to change that may enrich anyone’s lives.

Help us to forgive others when they hurt us, and to repent our own offence to anyone. Forgive our failures in prayer, penance and witness towards others, and supply what is lacking with fullness of life in You.

Father please form our children into true Christians. Inspire them to desire and love You and to consecrate themselves as delightful channels of Your goodness. Develop and enhance their gifts, so that each grows in wholeness and holiness. Preserve them from sin, but make them aware of Your great mercy.

Should our children abandon Your Church, please restore them quickly to Sacrament and divine truth. Through Your Spirit, enlighten those who doubt You, ignore You or are lukewarm. If their absence is protracted, please nevertheless fulfil Your will in them.

Through their journeying, allow them to bring new gifts into our midst. Please always watch over them and their families in all their needs and endeavours. Thank You for Your love of them, which infinitely exceeds our own. Please always guide and protect them.

Jesus may we walk with You. Let Your promises be fulfilled in our lives for Your honour and for others’ blessing. Use us for Your purposes. Let Your Holy Spirit guide and empower us with gifts to serve You and people for You. God, let us love each other with Your love.

“Stop your crying and wipe away your tears. All that you have done for your children will not go unrewarded; they will return from the enemy’s land. There is hope for your future; your children will come back home. I, the Lord, have spoken.” [Jeremiah 31:16-17]

Heavenly Father have mercy on parents who have lost their children or see them ill and suffering, or perhaps ruining their lives. Please comfort and give them strength, and restore their children’s lives in every way possible

Heavenly Father, please alleviate the trials and sufferings of our dear ones when we are unable to relieve their difficulties or when our efforts to assist prove unwise.

Continue to bless our our loved ones who abandon relationship with You or drift from the Church that Jesus instituted for our benefit and for worship of God. Bless us their sorrowing parents, for we tried to teach and support them and we continue to pray for them.

We are grieved when their relationships and welfare are threatened. In this era, perhaps the most eroding factor in our loved ones’ lives and relationships is stress, depression, or addictions. Many issues assail them and they are required to work with extraordinary dedication to survive. They may have little leisure to blossom into all they are created to be and to share.

Sometimes difficulties escalate even as we pray and hope. Our anxiety for loved ones sometimes seems unendurable, testing our trust in God. Please deepen our relationship with You in these trials of the heart.

Heavenly Father, in Your merciful love please carry our loved ones through their labours, their leisure, their joys and trials. Please lift their depression. Let their relationships and life flourish in love, faith, and peace. We consecrate their and ourselves to Your divine mercy, trusting You to work out their salvation. If they are unable to return to You sooner, let their final choice be for Your merciful love. Thank You for Your care of them, even where it is not manifest.

Lord, I ask you especially for Irishmom2’s son. Please guide him back to You.

Lord, we ask Your comfort for these parents who carry the weight of a cross that only parents who have suffered the same can fully understand. Dry their tears and ease their sadness. If their suffering must exist, dear Lord, allow it to work for the good of the children they love so much. Through the intercession of the Holy Family, I pray. Amen.
