For my uncle’s successful heart surgery on the 17th, for his health and for his soul.

We lift up Shin’s uncle to you, asking for successful surgery, a quick recovery and for protection and healing. Please draw him closer to you, who are all merciful and desire only good for all men, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
 
O Lord Jesus Christ our God,
You patiently endured the scourging and wounding of your sacred body,
that You may save the souls and bodies of your people.
Look now graciously on the suffering body of Shin’s uncle
and give him the strength to bear patiently whatever awaits him.
Bless the people and all the means which will be used to restore him to health,
and grant that he may accept his bodily sufferings as a means of reparation for the salvation of his soul.
For You, O Christ, our God and Savior, are merciful, and we give glory to You,
together with your eternal Father and with your all-holy and life-giving spirit,
now and ever, and forever.

Mother Mary, I entrust Shin’s uncle to your loving care. Please help him to persevere in a state of grace and help him to receive the best medical care. May he trust in Our Lord and be abandoned to His merciful love full of confidence in Him.

Good news about my uncle!

He came through surgery OK. They opened him up, but decided against the angioplasty or stent, surprisingly. He had been having heart pains.

In a week he goes back and they’re looking to give him a defibrillator due to his irregular heart beat.

We’re wondering if that isn’t a bit genetic as my mother has one too.

Very glad he came through OK! And still praying for him to come through all this well!

Thankful for the prayers!

You are merciful and Your faithfulness is eternal.
