For help staying poised and professional in current job while praying I’m hired for new dream job

The hiring process for my dream job at a company (B.) is on hold due to a construction delay. I assumed (falsely) that this info was a polite way of blowing me off, but then I received a positive and encouraging note from the person who would be my boss that made me decide to stick with it and continue praying I get the job.

My current job is in a very dysfunctional environment, but I am making the best of it. I know I’m lucky to have a job. I know I need to move on into a new role at a more stable, successful company. It’s getting tougher than ever to remain calm and professional. **

**I am praying for maturity, total calmness, patience and strength, to handle my current role with dignity and poise and total professionalism, in spite of my frustration and any unfair circumstances. **

I’m more eager than ever to begin a new chapter of my career in an environment where I get to use my talents and work for a successful company and report to a wonderful and supportive boss – all of these things appear to be what I’d experience if I get my dream job at B.

**I pray for God to steer me out of my current job and into the new job at B. I pray for any obstacles to my new job there being removed so that, if it is His will, I start the new job in the next few weeks and truly thrive, shine and enjoy my career. **

Modern meritocracy is a bit of an ugly joke, pandering to self serving sycophantic Machiavellian parasites rather than those with skills, insight and/or effective work ethics. I too have been driven to despair at the horror of the modern work environment, but if you are in a reasonably well paid job, you should probably be grateful ,as should I.

I pray you learn to see take the bad with the good, and the happiness in your life is not blighted by the ugliness. If pray you get the job you want (and that it’s all you hope it will be), but if not (or if it isn’t) I pray you learn to see the positive in what you have, as we all should.

And moreover, I pray you give to Caesar what is Caesars and give to God what is Gods 👍
