I don’t know him, but someone asked if I wouldn’t mind praying for him.

My understanding is that he had a divorce a number of years ago, ended up having a midlife crisis and a financial crisis at the same time which ended up with him doing a few shady things. Those things resulted him getting arrested and serving a few years in a jail. He owned a struggling pool and landscaping related business before, and hopefully he will be able to restore that business and get his life sorted out.

By the sounds like he just had some trouble, and reacted with poor judgement. If you feel you can spare a prayer or two, I’m sure the person who is asking would be grateful, as they said James isn’t particularly religious.
