A quick update. My mother’s surgery will be July 23rd at 2:30pm Central Time. She had the blood work last week and has done the pre-admission. Not only will her hip be operated on but also her pelvis which was broken when the ball came out of the socket.

Thank you so much, everyone. Please keep praying.

My mother is scheduled to return to the hospital on July 1st or shortly after for the hip surgery we thought she was going to have originally. Afterwards, she will spend a week in the hospital and then return to the rehab center for more therapy.

Hopefully, after that, she will be able to return home and heal. If it is God’s Will, she will then be able to return to Mass some time in September.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for my mother last year.

A quick update.

After returning home, in September, she was top receive home health care. That lasted 2 visits before they abandoned her.😦 So I took over.

She became ill in November 2012 with what we thought was a stomach bug. It would get worse and then ease up. By January, it became much worse. And i rushed her to the ER. We were told she had renal failure and had been within hours of death. Had I waited and taken her to her PCP which was the original plan for that day, she would not be here today.

Thanks be to God, she is here today. All honor, glory, worship and praise are His. Each time I see her receive Jesus in the Eucharist, I am moved to tears of joy, love and humility.

Thank you, Lord, for giving me back my mother.
May we always love, honor, glorify and worship You.
You alone are Lord.
Without You, we are nothing.
With You, we have eternal life.

Amen.
