For me and my family to be delivered from our financial difficulties

Our problem is financial stewardship. I realize that money is an important tool that affects our relationships, our health, our future, etc. We have been truly blessed by God abundantly, but we are still in debt and we still find ourselves in financial difficulty. However, God has opened my mind and my heart and revealed to me that the reason why we are still in financial difficulty is because of our wrong beliefs about money, our lack of financial literacy, and poor financial stewardship. We are all impulsive buyers. We encur debts because we spend more than we can afford. We do not save and prepare for our future and for emergencies.

Please help us pray that God will truly change our heart and mind and transform our lives and make us good financial stewards. May the Lord purify our intentions to earn more money so that we may be able to love extravagantly (that is, we can be generous to the work of the Lord and the poor and to be generous with our love ones).

All these I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen!!
 
Father, we come to you with this family
having financial difficulties.
Guide them in making better decisions
with purchases and spending.
Grant them employment income
to meet their daily needs.
Grant them peace.

FlyLady is amazing. Her basic chant is: You didn’t get this way overnight, and it won’t be fixed in a day.

She lays out baby steps to help you get a grip on things.
