I feel like I’m doing a terrible job fighting my porn addiction
The most I’ve made it in a long time is 10 days with no orgasm(pathetic I know)

I longest I’ve ever made it is 46-50 days with only watching some porn and light masturbation without completing it

I just went 4 days no nothing and fell down today

It’s so difficult to dodge all the temptations that comes in unique ways
-Bored? Porn
-Excited for something? Wow cool watch some poem
-Sad/Depressed? Porn will cheer you up and comfort you (lies)
-Happy? Porn will keep it going (this one rarely works)
-Like a girl?girls you say aren’t they in porn (girls in real life I rarely think about them that way which is good)
-Angry? Watch some porn
-Mad about how you lost your porn record? Did you say porn?
-ect

I have so much to look foward to in life
I’m actually thinking about breaking fear of saying I need confession
Thinking if going no matter what next month

I want to stop porn because
1 it’s a huge sin
2 punishes my life (because its a sin)
3 it causes health problems
4 many more reasons

But it’s hard to juggle everything and life all in all isn’t very friendly to my journey
I would love to make two weeks
I’m also afraid that after confession I will mess up soon after and have. To wait forever to build up the courage to ask

So please I need help I want to get this off
I don’t want this next year I want it gone now

will pray for you,

I had this problem a couple years ago. The problem with this addiction is because it literally enslaves you to want to commit it, but as St Jerome said, the thirst for impurity gets only worse as we fall further into it.

If you call upon the name of Mary as soon as a bad thought enters your mind, you WONT fall. This is what St Alphonsus said

Ask your priest for help, preferably outside of confession, the way a sick person asks a doctor for help

Praying for you and the person who can be your accountability partner.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

You know how many times it took for me to quit smoking? A lot, a lot! So many I don’t even know how many. I was at the point of despair so many times. I questioned if there would ever be a day that I wouldn’t have to fight that temptation all day long, every 5 minutes even. And now its been 8 years and it hardly ever crosses my mind.

Don’t stop trying!!! Don’t stop confessing it in the confessional. If you’re not already, start the “3 Hail Marys for purity” devotion (you can google it for more info.) First thing in the morning say “For purity of mind - Hail Mary…” then “For purity of heart - Hail Mary…” then “For purity of body - Hail Mary…” and conclude with "Holy Mary my Mother, preserve me from mortal sin this day. Amen. " Do the same thing at night except conclude with “Holy Mary my mother, preserve me from mortal sin this night. Amen.” I know this may sound long, but it literally takes a minute and a half.

Pray the rosary daily. If you can’t do it all at once, pray one decade here, one decade there. Once decade while driving. One decade before bed. Say an Act of Contrition before you fall asleep. Wear a brown scapular! Wear it to bed if you are tempted there. Wear it in the shower if you are tempted there. Put a blessed & exorcised St. Benedict’s medal on the corner of your computer monitor or wherever the images tempt you to look at them. Stay close to Our Lady. She can mediate for you special graces to overcome this addiction! She has a special role in conquering Satan. Ask Jesus to submerge your mind and physical brain in the Ocean of His Mercy so that these reward responses in your brain can be undone. I know how dreadful addiction is. I have written your name down in my prayer book so that I remember to pray for you. May your victory, by the grace of God, come soon!

This is good advice especially the Hail Mary thing

I’m 15 so some of the later stuff I can’t do yet
I also am extremely anxious of my family seeing me do these super religious things or ask them to take me to confession
Because what they say hurts me even though they mean no harm and have no idea

I just prayed right now for God to protect this friend meet up from being canceled and he did
I was crying while praying
After failing and reseting your progress
Canceling a fun time will friends
I would be heartbroken and probably angry

Seeing my friends is what keeps me going but it’s also the time the devil tempts me the most
Today was the day before me seeing my friends
I fell even though I was more prepared

I have to be strong

Don’t lose heart, friend
Trying not to
Life is rough
I have so many friends and so much
Yet also have downsides that haunt me
Ever since I found out masturbation and porn were mortal sins
I was depressed/depressed mood since like 12
Now I’m 15 and losing childhood scares me

I just want a hug from someone
I wanna feel at peace
I felt like that yesterday
Like life was just alright
I see my prayers coming true when I have faith they will

But today wasn’t good but God did answer me still
I love him
I just wanna be home with him

Sometimes the thought that one day he will wipe every tear from my eyes is what keeps me sane
Thinking that if I force myself through it in the end it will go away

I hope I can make it further and hopefully be free

Praying . . . petition and in thanksgiving for all the blessings He has bestowed. . . . . . He is worthy of our thanks.
Litany of Humility
**
:signofcross:
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.**
From the desire of being esteemed,
Deliver me, Jesus. [Repeat after each below]
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. [Repeat after each below]
That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
… others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may
…become as holy as I should…

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
by Saint Antiochus
O Holy Spirit,
most merciful Comforter:
You proceed from the Father
in a manner beyond our understanding.
Come, I beseech You,
and take up your abode in my heart.
Purify and cleanse me from all sin,
and sanctify my soul.
Cleanse it from every impurity,
water its dryness,
melt its coldness,
and save it from its sinful ways.
Make me truly humble and resigned,
that I may be pleasing to You,
and that You might abide with me forever.
Most Blessed Light,
most Amiable Light,
enlighten me.
O Rapturous Joy of Paradise,
Fount of Purest Delight,
My God, give yourself to me
and kindle in my innermost soul the fire of Your love.
My Lord, instruct, direct,
and defend me in all things.
Give me strength against all immoderate fears
and against despondency.
Bestow upon me a true faith,
a firm hope,
and a sincere and a perfect love.
Grant that I always do Your Most Gracious Will.
Amen.

Prayer for All Virtues

O Almighty and all-knowing God,
without beginning or end,
who art the giver, preserver, and rewarder of all virtue:

Grant me to stand firm on the solid foundation of faith,
be protected by the invincible shield of hope,
and be adorned by the nuptial garment of charity;

Grant me by justice to obey thee,
by prudence to resist the crafts of the Devil,
by temperance to hold to moderation,
by fortitude to bear adversity with patience;

Grant that the goods that I have I may share liberally
with those who have not,
and the good that I do not have I may seek with humility
from those who have;

Grant that I may truly recognize the guilt of the evil I have done,
and bear with equanimity the punishments I have deserved;
that I may never lust after the goods of my neighbour,
but always give thanks to thee for all thy good gifts…

Plant in me, O Lord, all thy virtues,
that in divine matters I might be devout,
in human affairs wise,
and in the proper needs of the flesh onerous to no one…

And grant that I may never rush to do things hastily,
nor balk to do things demanding,
so that I neither yearn for things too soon,
nor desert things before they are finished.
Amen.

Praying. . . . Prayer of Apology and Thanksgiving because of forgetfulness to say “thank You” to Our Lord for all the blessings He pours over us and we do not even realize it. 😉 🙂

Act of Hope and Confidence in God
St. Claude de la Colombiere
:signofcross:
My God,
I believe most firmly that You watch over all who hope in You,
and that we can want for nothing when we rely upon You in all things.
Therefore I am resolved for the future…to cast all my cares upon You.
People may deprive me of worldly goods and status.
Sickness may take from me my strength and the means of serving You.
I may even jeopardize our relationship by sin, but my trust shall never leave me.
I will preserve it to the last moment of my life, and the powers of hell shall seek
…… in vain to grab it from me.
Let others seek happiness in their wealth and in their talents.
Let them trust in the purity of their lives,
the severity of their mortifications,
in the number of their good works,
the enthusiasm of their prayers,
as for me, my Rock and my Refuge, my confidence in you fills me with hope.
For You, my Divine Protector, alone have settled me in hope.
“This confidence can never be vain. No one, who has hoped in God, has
…… ever been confounded.”
I am assured, therefore, of my eternal happiness,
…… for I firmly hope in it and all my hope is in You.
“In You, O loving God, have I hoped: let me never be confounded.”
I know too well that I am weak and changeable. I know the power of
…… temptation against the strongest virtue.
I have seen stars fall and foundations of my world crack;
…… these things do not alarm me.
While I hope in You, I am sheltered from all misfortune,
…… and I am sure that my trust shall endure,
…… for I rely upon You to sustain this unfailing hope.
Finally, I know that my confidence cannot exceed Your generosity, and that I
…… shall never receive less than I have hoped for from You.
Therefore I hope that You will sustain me against my evil inclinations,
…… that You will protect me against the deceitful attacks of the evil one,
…… and that You will cause my weakness to triumph over every hostile force.
I hope that You will never cease to love me and that I shall love You unceasingly.
“In You, O loving God, have I hoped: let me never be confounded.”

St Claude de la Colombiere, pray for us!

Apology and Thanksgiving Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,
as we ask for forgiveness for not giving You thanks.
Please receive our heartfelt apology for the lack of gratitude.
Remind us at all times that You are always worthy of our thanks.

Thank You, Heavenly Father,
for all the graces and blessings
You have bestowed upon us:
our faith and religious heritage;
the Priests who bring us the Sacraments;
our life, food and shelter;
our health, the love we have for one another;
our Police Officers and Firefighters who keep us safe;
our Soldiers and Veterans who fight and fought for our Country;
our family and friends.
Thank You for the people You so generously send us;
…everything You grant us
…and of which we are not even aware.
Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us the grace of having
…less “give me” and more gratitude throughout the coming
…years so that we may be aware that anything from You is good
…for You turn the “bad” into blessings for us.
Please Lord, grant us the grace of not forgetting that we can thank You
…over and over again for the same gift – and if we
…forget, may our Guardian Angel remind us.
Thank You, Lord.
I Love You, Lord.
Amen… …by Luz María
