thank you. Im also praying for your dh. Is he catholic? is that why hes hanging onto addictions?Mini gerbel,
I will also pray for you. I know what it is like to live with addictions. I am not the one with the addictions, but dh is and there are so many. At least you admit you have addictions. He said that they are things he “enjoys” and are not addictions. I vowed recently to not say anymore about it. I bought a CD from Fr. Corapi called Addictions for he had many himself. I listened to it, but dh has not yet and I doubt he will for he doesn’t see that he has any problems. Check out the CD it was very good.
Hang in there, knowing that you have a problem is the first step and I am proud that you have done that. Now it is a matter of time and giving yourself a chance to heal. Fr. Corapi calls it getting free from satan’s hold. Listen to his CD if you can buy it. I will pray for you in my rosary tonight. Keep the faith and keep praying for strength. WE are all praying for you.
Yes, he is Catholic and thanks for praying for him. He does not see his addictions as addictions. He has addictions to sodas, TV, prescription medications, food, smoking and use to have pornography added to that list. He use to drink to much too, but I stopped that. He said I am taking away things he enjoys. He does pray, go to Mass almost daily, goes to weekly confession, but can’t seem to see that he has addictions to let go. I will not nag anymore on it. He also has an anger problem and mental health issues. He was abused as a child mentally, and physically. I think that is why he attaches himself to things to make him feel better, but he doesn’t get addicted to Jesus. I really don’t understand it totally.thank you. Im also praying for your dh. Is he catholic? is that why hes hanging onto addictions?![]()
