No wonder the Church made you the patron of patients and nurses, Heart patients. That is why we confidently have recourse to you. Please give assistance to Lily’s aunt and teach us to be kind like you.
God, You filled St. John with the spirit of compassion. Grant that by practicing works of charity we may deserve to be numbered among the elect in Your Kingdom. Amen.

Loving Father, you bring healing to the sick and make them well again. Trusting in your great love and mercy, and believing that whatever we ask from you in the name of your Son, Jesus, You will grant if it is what is best and in accordance with your Divine Will, I lift up to You Lily’s aunt, who is in need of healing of her heart attack and surgery. Hear our prayers and bring her into Your loving presence.
Let the grace of Your Divine Love flow to the different parts of her body, reaching the inner recesses of her being. Touch her heart and all the areas afflicted with sickness and let her organs function normally. Touch her blood vessels and arteries and let her blood flow properly.
Bring healing to all her nerves, muscles and tissues, especially those surrounding her heart. Console her, ease her pain and suffering and restore her to full health in body, mind and spirit.
May she find hope in her suffering and offer it as a share in Your own passion. Create a new heart in her and renew her life, loving Father. And after she has been healed, may she be a witness of your healing power and love and bring glory, honor and praise to you.
All this we pray in Jesus’ name through Mary with all the angels and saints.
