Please pray for my best friend, E.C (non-Catholic). Today, I got an invitation … her and her partner (Catholic!) are getting MARRIED!!! Gay/Lesbian marriages have been legalized here in our state. Please pray that my best friend and her partner have a change of mind and do not proceed with the “marriage.”

Hear our cries, oh Lord, that the sanctity of marriage may be preserved. Merciful and loving Father, love E.C. and her partner, as you love all sinners. Help us to embrace always what is right in your eyes. Amen.

Your friend and her " partner" are in my prayers. As a priest once told me when I thought about dumping a friend that I had known for 35 years because he was on a " New Age" tangent. " Don’t violently terminate the friendship. Just stand on the bedrock of Truth in this friendship. The Truth will prevail even if the friendship doesn’t."

Father, we see that you have been removed
from so many things in our lives. We beg of you
to forgive us and our society. Help us to
correct what we have allowed to happen.
Heal the minds of people who see these things
as “ok”. Help us to hold firm to your truth.
Grant us the ability to help these people using
your words and doing your works.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord!
