I had previously asked for prayers on behalf of my brother and sister-in-law. They were considering in vitro fertilization. I talked to them about the moral objections to the procedure, but it didn’t go well. Since then I have been praying that no fertilized ovum be destroyed. My prayers were answered today. Two were implanted. A third did not survive the night, but it was not through something they actively caused.

God be praised for making the best of a bad situation.

Please pray that the remaining two ovum attach and survive. I would dearly like to see them with kids.

May God bless *you *for attempting to have that discussion with them. May He heal any bad feelings that your brother and SIL may have regarding your conversation and may God help them to eventually understand the precious value of life. May your SIL pregnancy progress well. If your brother and SIL are Catholic, may they find a good confessor. And may they bring up these babies in the way of faith. Amen

The procedure failed. My sister in law is not pregnant.

They are very upset and blame God. My own mother said she doesn’t believe in God anymore because of this event because God didn’t answer her prayers.

Please pray for my family that they would work through this without losing their faith in God. Pray also for those fetuses that did not survive. There were three of them.
