I’m currently doing a Sola Scriptura debate, and, as expected, the Protestants are constantly dodging the argument. However, the questions of grace and Sola Fidei came up a couple of times, and it’s got me thinking. One of the reasons I’m doing this debate now, is because it’s close to the anniversary of the Protestant separation, and while all of Protestantism depends on Sola Scriptura for its existence, it was Sola Fidei that started it. On top of that, I’m currently helping out a Protestant girl who’s struggling scrupulosity, due to her belief in Sola Fidei, and her fear of reprobation. Finally, I’ve been stumbling across various good articles and videos on the Catholic understanding of Salvation, such as the FishEaters’ “Conversion of Heart” article.
For now, I’m just considering doing, a Sola Fidei debate. Later on, I may discuss this further in the apologetics section, but for now, I’d just like your prayers.
