Hello. I am new and bad with computers, so I hope I am putting this in the right place for prayers.

I am converting to Catholicism, but I am in a state of confusion. I am hesitant, saddened by my sin, happy, anxious, and terrified all at the same time. I keep going from being in tears to being strangely at peace. I have many doubts and fears, mostly that I’ll never be able to get all the rules and things right.

I am calling to join RCIA tomorrow (I was baptized, received first communion and first confession, but I’ve lived like a pagan in the years since, and really know next to nothing about the faith) so that I can further my education.

I can’t seem to stop crying. This is such a big step in my life, and so stressful. Would anyone like to pray that my conversion goes smoothly? Thank you so much for reading this. If you do pray for me, thank you for that too. God bless.

Dear Dove,
You will be in my prayers tonight. Please keep us informed on how you are doing.
God Bless You

:signofcross:

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Dove,
I am very happy that you are coming into the faith. Do not be afraid. Have faith and you will be fine. Our Lord, died for you because he loves you. Our faith is the best thing that has every happened to me. It is very wonderful. In my opinion, it could be the enemy that is making you feel confused because he doesn’t want you to go through this conversion. Be strong. You don’t have to know everything right away. It is a lifetime of learning. You will be fine. I will pray for you tonight. God bless you.

Dove,
You even have a peaceful name 😃
Welcome back to the faith. Firstly, by the sound of it, I think you are being too hard on yourself.
So what if you dont know anything about the faith, your doing the first good thing, coming back to it, your praying and i assume your going to church.
When you do start learning, dont go at it like a train. Take your time, start by reading the bible (again if your already read it) and have a read of the catechism. You can find it online Here

Just keep praying and keep your faith. take it easy on yourself. Everything will come to you in time. God knows you are trying hard, and he will be so pleased that you are coming back to the faith.
The rcia classes will be so beneficial for you also. Ill pray for you when i say the rosary tonight.
But PLEASE be gentle with yourself, take it one step at a time.
And most of all, dont be afraid, look who is calling you home, now there is nothing to be afraid of is there? You have Mary, Jesus and God waiting for you with open arms.
God bless and i wish you all the best.

Go in and out safely in our Lord for all is in his hands.

Protected by your coming, O Mother of God, well-believing people solemnly celebrate today. Gazing upon your immaculate image they humbly say: “Watch over us with your noble protection and deliver us from all evil by asking your Son, Christ our God, to save our souls.” (Troparion)

Will keep you in prayer. May you know Peace and may you know Joy…
All sorts of emotions before a big step in life is quite normal…but difficult I know to endure…God Bless you!

Praying for you. And if you need help, please let us know, we’re all here to support one another in our conversions.🙂

👍 Cagrl summed up everything I was going to say. Take a deep breath and continue to pray and know we are all praying for you.

Oh dove51

I agree, don’t be so hard on yourself
Being a good Catholic is living the faith. If you continue to live by example and do God’s Will, then everything else falls into place.
We, Catholics, are not exempt from sin, straying or faults - we are human. We live in uniton with God with love for our neighbour and when things get rough, which they do, we have the comfort and purification of our Sacraments. This is not to be abused but to remind us of Jesus’ forever healing available to us

So, its not rocket science and taxing as doing your degree. We are ordinary people who try to live by our Catholic Faith and Values
Just take a deep breathe and embrase this newfound YOU and allow Jesus to do the rest - to work with you as HE sees fit.

Keep us posted on your progress and remember we will continue to pray for you, no matter what

I light a candle for you
God Bless

I’m so happy for you and proud of you! Welcome Home!

God has a terrific plan for your life!

Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you through the RCIA classes!

I just became Catholic at Easter, and this is the best thing that has ever happened in my life… I found all that has been missing!

We can’t change our past, but we can now control our actions in the future.

Remember, we are all sinners, striving to sin no more!

**Hurrah! You found us! We’ve been waiting for you. 🙂 **

I know the feeling…

Two things here:
  1. …going from tears to peace and back.
Gee. You have a conscience and go from feeling guilty (which is a gift from the devil), to being at peace (God’s gift). Which do you want to keep?
  2. …the rules.
There are Ten of them. My favorite is, “Love God with all of your heart, with all of your mind, with all of your strength”.
I am calling to join RCIA tomorrow (I was baptized, received first communion and first confession, but I’ve lived like a pagan in the years since, and really know next to nothing about the faith) so that I can further my education.
If you are a sinner, you can join our club, we call it Earth…and we call ourselves humans. 😃
I can’t seem to stop crying. This is such a big step in my life, and so stressful. Would anyone like to pray that my conversion goes smoothly? Thank you so much for reading this. If you do pray for me, thank you for that too. God bless.
Can’t seem to stop crying huh? You are well on your way to being a great Christian Catholic! Don’t forget how bad your sin feels, and always remember how good God makes you feel that He loves you anyway. (If we didn’t sin would we need God? Sure we would, but we’d call Him Dad).

Father, I praise Your name and Your goodness. Without You I would be nothing and I would have nothing, because I know, all “good” things come from You. I pray that You ease the pain of this frightened Dove, and I know You will always lead her on the good path towards the narrow gate. She may not always follow, I know this as You know I have not always followed either, but I do know You will always love her anyway, as You have loved me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Father, I rejoice with You, that Your little lost Dove has been found!

Dove,

Don’t be afraid. If you are seeing us welcoming you here, then you will be happy to know that God welcome you with all His Mighty Love.

You are in our daily prayer.

God bless.

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts, guys. Reading them made me cry some more, but good tears this time. 🙂

Just remember, we’re all here for one another.
