For my former pastor who died

During this time of praying for souls, would you please pray for the soul of my former pastor Fr. Manuel R. who died at the end of August.

I was just in the Catholic cemetery doing the prayers for today’s indulgence when I saw a tombstone of an unrelated family with the same last name as him, and immediately it came into my mind out of the blue, “I bet Fr R.died” (he was very old) and I googled on my phone and his obituary came up. I was unaware because I was working in a different state and also was on vacation when his death and funeral occurred. Driving from the cemetery I saw a second thing (street sign) that related to him and that I have not noticed before. Therefore I think he may need prayers. Please pray for him.

He was a good and holy priest especially considering that during his time as pastor, there were scandals happening at the parishes on either side of his but never anything reported then or since about his parish and school.
 
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
 
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
