She’s battling cancer and her tumor recently started growing again. This woman is a dear friend whom I love. Please pray for healing. This is her second battle and her fight has already robbed her of quite a bit, including her ability to have children which was heartbreaking for her and her husband but she accepted it gracefully. She helps a lot of the college kids at the university she works at and says that they are ‘her kids’. She looks out for them by giving advice and encouragement. She also acts as adviser for a national service fraternity on campus and is a bible-believing christian. In short, she’s an awesome lady. Please pray for her healing. Also, pray that she is granted strength and is able to continue her work and charitable pursuits.

Father, for the strength you have given me I thank you.
For the health you have blessed me with, I thank you.
For Jamie, who is suffering from cancer, and for Jamie’s family and friends including the OP,
I ask you to strengthen them all and to heal Jamie as you see fit.
Lord we know you want us to be in good health and to prosper.
Lord use us, including Jamie, to do the work you have for us to do.
For we know time is getting short on this earth.
Lord be with Jamie during her treatment,
and encourage her as only you can.
Especially let her remain well enough to continue her work,
helping college students who need her support and advice.
I know how faithful you are.
You have shown yourself to be everything
you say you are in your Holy Word.
I praise you for you made Jamie’s body
and you can heal her body.

Prayer to Sts. Nazarius and Celsus

Saint Nazarius and Saint Celsus, not very much is known of your lives, other than you were both martyred for the faith by Emperor Nero. St. Ambrose discovered your relics and a vital of your blood. Many miracles were wrought by appeal to both of you. One of the legends surrounding the two of you was that St. Nazarius’ mother was Saint Perpetua, that beautiful and steadfast saint who was herself martyred years before. It was said Saint Celsus was a companion of Nazarius.
Having both of you as an early example of courage, loyalty, and perseverance to the end, please pray that we may likewise obtain those virtues. Intercede and plead for us to God, that He may have mercy on our weaknesses, and give us an abundance of grace because of them. May we be willing to even shed our blood for the Faith if Christ asks it of us. I also ask you to hear and succor the petitions laid before you this day.
Pray for us, Saints Nazarius and Celsus!

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Jamie’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
