For My Friend John Who Is Homeless

Oh my Lord and Father:

Clare has tried so hard to find John, who has been lost, cold, hungry and maybe even sick or a victim of the violence so many here have alluded to. Please protect him as you protected your People as they were fleeing the Egyptians, as You protected your people when you called forth Judith and Esther. Please Encamp about him and “Jimmy” as you encamped about your people when they were led by Gideon and again by the Maccabees. Please be the Divine Outrider the muggers see that so many “unsober” eyes have seen at just the right moment, and send your Angels to stand guard over him as he sleeps, so that no harm may come to him.

And, Please my Lord, Send your Angels to guide him to shelter, but not just for a night or a week, but for long enough to get the treatment he needs to recoup the years lost to the Locusts, the Cutter, the Hopper and the Destroyer, so that all will know that you are the Lord, and that the Lord still saves with a Mighty Hand and an Outstretched Arm. As you once led your People to safety with Fire by Night and smoke by day, please lead John to a family or a community with a smile, a word or even a cab-ride, so that he and “Jimmy” will be safe.

I ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord God and Savior, Who lives and Reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, Now and forever.

Hi Michael

Thanks so much for this information. I really appreciate your taking the time to let me know.

The problem at the moment is that John has vanished. I agreed to meet him more than a month ago to give him some food and clothing at the usual time and place. He never turned up which is out entirely out of character. He has had an ongoing problem of violent attacks against him and his dog. I’m very concerned that someone has harmed him although I’m praying constantly that isn’t the case and that he’s safe.

Lord God , we pray for John whom sad and grievous circumstances have left homeless , that You in Your Mercy and Love will provide for him the warmth and security of a home .Please keep John and his dog ,Jimmy safe from all harm , and help him to keep in a warm and secure shelter in these cold winter nights , and hear the prayers of all who pray for John . Dear Lord , grant that John and his dog Jimmy , who have been missing for several days may soon be found safe and well . Amen .

Lord God , we pray also that You will bless dear Clare , who has shown the love and compassion of a true Christian heart . Please grant that although Clare does not now have the financial means to help and support John , by Your Mercy and Love , you will enable her to maintain her encouragement and help to John . Heavenly Father , please help Clare in every way possible , so that her financial and employment circumstances will shortly improve . Amen .

Holy Mother Mary please continue to hear our prayers for John and Jimmy. Wherever they are please let themn be safe and warm. Please grant that they have enough to eat and protect them from violence. May strangers treat them with kindness

Holy Mother if it is God’s will please help me to find them.
