Praying for John, may his life turn around. Lord hear our prayer. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
 
Dear Friends

I’m happy (and relieved) to let you know that John has found shelter during this terrible weather that we have been experiencing in the UK. Also I now have a little extra financially to share with him so that he can enjoy Christmas day in accommodation and have a nice meal like everyone else.

Our loving Father has been listening. Thank you so much for praying. There are so many thousands of homeless people. Please may God also bless and protect them.

Heavenly Father , we thank You for Your Love and Mercy to John ,for hearing the prayers of all who pray for John and his dog , Jimmy, and for helping him to find shelter from our terrible cold and snowy weather here in the UK .

We pray also that You will bless dear Clare , who has shown yet again the love and compassion of her true Christian heart in sharing her own resources , to ensure that John can celebrate Christmas with both food and shelter, and that by Your Mercy and Love , enable her to maintain her encouragement and help to John .

We are reminded ,Lord God ,of the first Christmas , when with no room in the inn , the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph found shelter in the stable for the birth of Your Beloved Son , Our Lord Jesus Christ , and we pray that You will mercifuly help all those who are homeless . Amen .

We love you Clare ,our dear friend , and we hope and pray that you too have a Joyful and Happy Christmas .

Hello

A few months ago I made friends with a homeless man named John. He became homeless after he suffered a nervous breakdown due to the death of his infant daughter and the breakdown of his relationship with her mother.

John has been homeless for 18 months and has applied for emergency housing. He exchanges odd jobs for accommodation and sells the Big Issue. He has an old greyhound (Jimmy) and looks after him by doing odd jobs at the veterinary clinic. Still he struggles and when he has to sleep on the streets he is at constant risk of violence from drug addicts.

I struck up the friendship and help him as much as I can each week. In the time that I’ve known him he has never asked me for anything. He’s only told me that he’s grateful that I stop and talk with him because he’s lonely and people passing look at him like he’s “junk”.

It’s getting very cold now. I’ve just seen him and he was shaking.

Please dear friends may I ask you to remember John in your prayers. Please pray that he finds a way out. He tries to work hard and achieve what he can. Please pray that God protects him from violence and that people open their hearts to him and treat him with kindness and dignity.

I know what he is going through. Me and my family were homeless and the things you go the the ordinary person can’t begin to understand. Since God has taken me and my family out of homelessness, I now work with homeless families to give them a fighting chance at a better, normal life. My heart goes out to him. I know you are a good person because you have befriended him when others looked down at him. God bless you for it. I know that you have told him not to lose faith in God. See I believe that God gave me a calling when made us homeless. He put me in that possion so I know what they go through, by doing this I can better help them because I have been there. He is in my prayers.
