Lord please be with Rbaker’s friend as he goes through this major surgery.
So much depends on the surgery being successful.
Please bless the surgeons and all who are entrusted to his medical care and recovery.
We trust him to Your embracing love.

Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Heavenly Father we thank and praise You that through the Lord Jesus Christ we are able to come before You and bring our prayers and praises before Your throne of grace. Thank You that You are a God Whose power is still mighty to save and heal, as it was in times of old – and thank You that You are still our God whose healing power can touch each of our infirmities.
Lord we bring before You our dear friend Who is having to face surgery and Lord although this is quite a daunting prospect, Father I pray that Your peace that passes all understanding would flood their hearts so that they may find true rest for their soul in You. Help them not to fret or worry at the prospect of the difficulty of the operation or be anxious about the outcome, but rather place everything into Your gracious hands, knowing that You cause everything to work together for good - to those that are the called.
Help them Lord not to be apprehensive about anything but rather to trust their lives and their futures into Your loving hands, knowing that every day of our life is scheduled by You and that nothing takes You by surprise – even though at times we find ourselves confused as to why certain things are happening in our lives and in the lives of those that we love.
May the doctors and nurses be given the wisdom and skill to understand this operation successfully and we will give You all the praise and all the glory for ever and ever,
Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle
God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Rbaker’s friend You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Rbaker’s friendr’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Ever faithful God, You sent into the darkness of our lives,
Your Son Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Stretch forth
Your healing hand over Your servant, Rbaker’s friend. Give
him serenity of mind and peace of heart. Raise him up in
body, soul, and spirit and deliver him from all evil.
We make our prayer through Jesus, the Christ, our Lord.
Amen
May God the Father bless him.
May God the Son comfort him.
May God the Holy Spirit enlighten him.
Amen
And may almighty God bless him, the Father, and the Son,
and the Holy Spirit.

I pray for Rbaker’s friend who is to undergo
the surgical knife, may Your Word O Lord
also pierce his being so that he can have
healing in his soul, too. It divides to the sep-
aration of soul and spirit, joint and marrow!
Heb 4:12
Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.
Amen. †
