Prayer Warriors I need for you to storm heaven! Please pray for my husband’s conversion to the Catholic faith and his overall growth in holiness, virtue and grace.

He isn’t attending church with me anymore. Please pray hard!

I think praying for “his overall growth in holiness, virtue and grace” is just as important now. He may need that growth before he has an interest in the Church.

Each week invite him to Mass with you. You can ask him to make it a date, Mass and a meal afterwards or a walk in the park afterwards. Pick a Mass time that works well with his schedule.

Don’t pressure him about Mass or RCIA class, just a simple invite to sit with you in Mass. Make sure he feels comfortable that it is okay to sit even while you kneel or stand and its okay for him to stay in the pew during communion.

The Holy Spirit will reach his heart in time. He will feel the Holy Spirit and be able to respond. It may take a lifetime. That’s okay. Just keep praying and inviting.

I am praying for him and praying for you to feel God’s peace, as well.

He used to come with me every week to mass. This Sunday he just stopped going! 😦

Definitely keeping the prayers coming. 🙂

And I don’t know that this will help, but I just finished listening to “For Love and Marriage,” a talk given by EWTN’s “Women of Grace” host Johnette Benkovic (you can download it for $3.50 here: lighthousecatholicmedia.org/ or look for it at your parish if your parish offers Lighthouse Media stuff). Her talk is all about her reversion back to Catholicism while her husband stayed away – he even mocked her mercilessly before ultimately experiencing his own reversion. I found it powerful. Don’t know that you’ll think the same, but I think it’s useful for wives with resistant husbands.
