Hi all, please if you have a moment, could you offer a prayer for my husband. He has a job interview for a role which would really change his career path in a good way. He has serious anxiety issues, and has been travelling down the hierarchical ladder, instead of up, as his way of dealing with stress and anxiety. His pay has been getting lower while everything has been getting more expensive, and I worry soon he will not be able to work at all if things continue this way, as actually I think that taking on less responsibility in his jobs hasn’t really solved any of his anxiety problems anyway. It’s largely because his career has seen him entrenched in roles where he deals with complaints and frequently, aggressive and overbearing people. This job is one which would draw on his skills and experience, but he would not have to deal with complaints anymore. It’s a job opportunity that may not come up again, and we are so hopeful he will get it. Please pray for him, that it all goes well, and that he overcomes his anxiety either way and learns to trust in God.

Just said a prayer for you and your husband.

I had a job interview about a month ago. My interviewer said I was a good fit for the position and my resume/application looked really good. I was very hopeful that I would get the job and he said they would contact me the following week. Well, 3 weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything. I contacted my interviewer and he never responded back. I assume I didn’t get the job but was kinda angry he never even contacted me or responded to my inquiry.

I prayed to God and said if it is His will for me to have the job I will get it. If not, it wasn’t meant to be. What comforted me the most is knowing that God wants what is best for me. He knows what is best for me better than I do.

I sincerely hope your husband gets this job and it brings peace to your family.

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins my Mother;
to thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of thy Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy clemency hear and answer me.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee;
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)

Dear Lord we pray for Gliggle’s husband. Give him the strength to persevere in these difficult times. Help him to overcome his anxiety issues and his stress. I know how difficult it is to deal with aggressive and overbearing people, give him the strength to not take these complaints onto himself. Teach him, as you have had to teach me over and over, how to bring this stress to you. Remind him as you have to continually remind me that we can trust that you will give us the strength we need to allow you to carry us in these troubling times.

"During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints…It was then that I carried you."

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. St. Joseph, pray for us. St. Elisabeth, pray for us. Amen.

God our Father and our Creator, You bestow on us gifts and talents to develop and use in accord with Your will.

Grant to Gliggle’s husband, through the intercession of St. Joseph the worker, as model and guide, employment and work, that he may, with dignity, provide for those who depend on him for care and support.

Grant him the opportunities to use him energy and him talents and abilities for the good of all, and the glory of Your name.

Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Dear Lord,

Help me to give of my best today in this interview.
Wrap me in your loving arms when I feel insecure.
Hold me in your steady embrace when I feel nervous.
Help me to understand the questions I am asked,
And answer in a honest and inspired way.

In the interview, I pray you would show me if this is the right job for me.
I am your servant and I seek to do your will on this earth.
Lead me in your paths and guide me into all truth.

I ask all this in the beautiful name of Jesus
My Saviour and friend.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. Thankyou so much for your prayers everyone, it meant so much to me to know that you were praying for him even on the other side of the world! My husband said the interview went okay, although he thinks he’s probably not what they are looking for after all. But he said happily afterwards, “If I don’t get this job, it’s not because I tanked!” hehe, believe me, this is a really positive statement coming from for him! Thankyou so much, you are all in my prayers. Especially Brad90956 and tbcrawford. I will pray for you.

Thank you for the update. Praying your husband gets the job he needs very soon
God bless you both
