For my Mom to quit smoking

Hi,
My Mom is trying really hard to quit smoking. She has quit many times, but then starts again and feels horrible about it. Please ask God to help her quit smoking, and also for anyone with an addiction to overcome it. My Mom’s name is Joan. Thank you for any prayers for her to quit smoking for good.

Being a former smoker I understand what she’s going through. Don’t let her get down on herself. I’ll be praying for her and all those trying to quit.

My mother is the first to admit she was addicted to cigarettes/nicotine in a big way. She tried many times to quit but did finally quit when she found out she had COPD. She is doing well now and the disease had not progressed.

I will pray for your mother that she may find a way to “kick the habit” once and for all.

I, too am a former smoker (stopped 14 years ago). Let her know, the very worst is over within 3 days. Try to encourage her to do new things she is not used to - at the times where she used to smoke. This helps breaking the habit.
