My grandmother is near 100 and very ready to die (which she is very quickly doing). Having spoken with her, I know she is looking forward to being with Our Lord and I know she’s seen her guardian angel near her. My mother does not have the strong faith that would help her at this time and this is her mother. Please pray for both of them. Thanks.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Brigid May God welcome your grandmother peacefully;
and may He kindly help your mother through her loss.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Father, tonight I pray for the soul of Brigid’s grandmother as she is preparing to leave this world. Please forgive her of her sins and welcome her into Your arms when she is ready to meet You face to face.

I also pray that You will grant Brigid’s mother a fervent faith that trusts in You, that will allow her to lean on Your Divine Providence. Please help her to trust that You have blessed her elderly mother with a long life and the love of many people, and that it is Your will to bring her to Your home in heaven. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Praying the August Queen Prayer for her.

August Queen of the Heavens, heavenly sovereign of the Angels, Thou who from the beginning received from God the power and the mission to crush the head of Satan, we humbly beseech Thee to send Your holy Legions, so that under Thy command and through Thy power, they may pursue the demons and combat them everywhere, suppress their boldness, and drive them back into the abyss. Who is like God? O good and tender Mother, Thou will always be our love and hope! O Divine Mother, send Thy Holy Angels to defend me and to drive far away from me the cruel enemy. Holy Angels and Archangels, defend us, guard us. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. :signofcross:

May the Lord hold you all in the palm of his hand. I will remember you all in my prayers today :highprayer:

Praying for your grandmother as she nears her meeting with our Lord and maker.
Also, praying for you mother and the rest of the family as they come to terms with this and that they are reminded that one day they too will be reunited with grandma/mom

Thank you so much! She doesn’t really wake, now. She refuses to eat or drink. I wouldn’t be surprised that she doesn’t make it the next 24 hours. At this point, helping my mother is uppermost as she’s having a very difficult time. My grandmother said she saw her GA the other day (“my angel!”) and from other things she said while she was still speaking it’s evident she is only partially aware of this world and partially aware of the next.

No one else in my family is a Catholic, although my grandmother is the closest, but with a fervent Baptist upbringing (is Episcopalian officially tho’). Her strong faith is very evident to me. It is a joy to see. My brother is Episcopalian also, with a slight Calvinist bent, but is also fairly sure of his faith. Most other family members are very liberal Christians, but not church-going. Please keep praying?

I will be praying the chaplet of Divine Mercy for your grandmother today. May she go in peace.
