Please pray for the safety of my nephew, Eric, and his men in Afghanistan. He left last Sunday for a 12 month deployment. His younger brother died last summer and it would just destroy his mother if anything happened to him. *=
Thanks to all.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen

My prayers are with Eric and all our soldiers. My son is going back after already serving 18 months. I know the “heart-in the-mouth” feeling that all families, especially mothers and fathers, have for their loved ones. Father, bring our boys and girls home safe.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Lord God, please descend Your Holy Spirit upon this young man, that he may be protected from all further harm that may come to him. He is entering a geographic location fraught with much peril, and danger, Lord, and he is doing so with the intention of protecting his country and serving. Please look kindly upon his sacrifice, Lord Jesus, and protect him from all bodily and mental harm. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen.

Lord, we ask Your mercy on Eric and his fellow servicemen in Afghanistan. We ask that You will keep them spiritually and physically safe. Please comfor Eric’s mother and family for the death of his younger brother.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves
to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen
