for the family pet mouse Cocoa who died a horribly painful, protracted death many years ago because of my deep illness at that time, we still grieve for her.

For the cats in my life I abused, for the horse who was taken away from me because I neglected him, I still have pain over this from when I was in high school.

For the cats in my life whom I loved so much.

I was so ill all my life and neglected myself that I didn’t know how to care for my pets and it is still so overwhelmingly painful for me. Somehow I knew how to take care of my son but my mother wouldn’t let me. I am turning back into a child living without my ex-husband to protect me from my family and don’t know what to do, especially for my son, who stays with my parents partly because I don’t have the means to provide for him.

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you.
Teach me to reach out to You in all my needs.
Allow Your healing Hand to heal me.
Most loving Heart of Jesus,
bring me health in body and spirit
that I may serve You with all my strength.
