***AVE MARIA, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. ***
***Benedicta tu in mulieribus, ***
***et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus. ***
***Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. ***
Amen.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Son in PA with my mother. She is handling the arrangements with the lawyer, which makes me a little nervous, as the lawyer is local (here in Florida), and I know from experience that my mother’s arrangements tend to be a quick fix but the lawyer prefers to speak with her (she is a good talker.) (Also he is Jewish as are most of her friends.)

But from what I hear he does not have to appear in court, the lawyer will handle it. I cannot ever get information out of my mother but I think the court date is Aug 14, I have it on a piece of paper somewhere in the house. So he will not return to Florida for a court appearance, which is a good thing as he could get in trouble if he sets foot in the state and at the same time a bad thing because maybe he needs to deal with that. Per my request to the lawyer, he is working off some community service hours for a possession charge here, in PA–at the library my mother helped to found while incarcerating me in the state hospital just after moving to the house there 26 years ago.

Things get icky where me and my mother are co-involved in my son’s care, right now she is cutting me out but at least he continues to respond to my steady phone calls and encouraging text messages.

Full of questions, I know my mother didn’t get along with her mother but I did, same with me and my father and his mother, so maybe there’s something there that works for Ian but I do worry. Once upon a time the dangers of my mother’s househouse were more destructive than almost anything, but jail in south Florida and gang involvement might just be worse.

My mother wouldn’t tell me anything, now I know why he’s been out of touch for the last few days. I realized I could look up the outcome at online public records, as my mother has also put a wedge between me and son’s lawyer. Trial date was the 8th not the 14th as I thought and the outcome has been determined. His license was suspended. There was also something about a notice of delinquency, I don’t know what this means or how to find out. I guess suspended is better than revoked. Sooner or later he needs to be able to drive in PA, my parents’ home is in the middle of nowhere, everything is 20 minutes away by car. My mother would probably drive him to work or school if she had to. He is young, He’ll work this out. It is true that he was a reckless driver, he was TAUGHT to be.

I also looked up the DV case against my husband for “cracking him” (that’s how he refers to it) on the head six times. Nothing since July, but I know, or at least he says, he is still worried about it, if the case had been dropped it would say so.

Still animosity between the two, I have talked to both about forgiving each other, and have been praying HARD tonight for the Lord to redeem my husband from the Evil one and bring him to confession and repentance, as he DOES NOT forgive him, I do understand, I had my own DV against son and a no contact order for a month.
.

Thank you for your prayers, I trust that they were heard and that this decision by the court will work to the good for my son. I pray that there is not more trouble than I know. He sat for his G.E.D. last week and is waiting for the scores.

Hoping for a brighter future and for things to turn around.🙂

All we can do is trust in God. Who else can we ever turn to, eh?
With God there is one (well, more than one…) thing we can always depend on. Everything that come our way is for the good of our immortal souls.

You may find this of help in these times: Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence
GOD CONTROLS ALL EVENTS, WHETHER GOOD OR BAD
Code:
Nothing happens in the the universe without God willing and allowing it. This statement must he taken absolutely of everything with the exception of sin. 'Nothing occurs by chance in the whole course of our lives' is the unanimous teaching of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, 'and God intervenes everywhere.'
Let us pray:
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.
Amen.

PATER NOSTER, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum.

*** Adveniat regnum tuum. ***
***Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. ***
***Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, ***
***et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. ***
***Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, ***
***sed libera nos a malo. ***
Amen.

***AVE MARIA, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. ***
***Benedicta tu in mulieribus, ***
***et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus. ***
***Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. ***
Amen.

***GLORIA PATRI, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. ***
***Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. ***
Amen.

***In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. ***
Amen.

O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, because thy pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, and because, thou hast been lavish in the granting of favors, thou hast been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible. St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus, thou couldst obtain from Him whatsoever thou askest especially:

a resolution to all legal problems in lynnehelen’s family and renewed peace for all

Because of your power, all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort. Be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant. Be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee. We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever.

Amen.

St. Rita of Cascia, pray for us!

After getting a notice in the mail regarding this case, which is still going on, which was alarming, I finally got up the nerve to contact his lawyer. My mother had told me he doesn’t want to talk to me and either won’t or can’t provide me with reliable information herself. The laywer (who is excellent) did return the call and reassured me that he has everything under control, disregard any letters I receive, and YES, he is still my son’s attorney.

I was so grateful.

There is another court date October 19, he does not have to appear (the letter said he did or go to jail without bond), so he may remain safe in PA. Safe from the marital dispute and from deleterious activities and connections.

On the bright side, all this has prompted salutary effects in the relationships between my mother, father, son, and I.

God Bless. Thank you, St. Rita, I will continue to sing your praises. Praying for a final resolution of this tangled court mess.
