For my son, Michael

Please pray for my son, Michael. He seems very distant from his family. Our heart is broken. I can’t figure out why he prefers to be alone and not with the family. Oh Mary, I know your heart was broken so you do have an understanding of my feelings. Thank you
 
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

is michael a teenager or has he been through some life-changing situation? this may be semi-normal depending on his age. there are so many challenges these days that even I did not face (i am early 30’s)…i will certainly pray for you and your family and for him. the world is a hard place. you may want to find somebody outside of the family that michael can talk to- a counselor, a mentor, a big-brother. even though you know you are the best person for him, generally speaking it is much easier to talk to a non-parent about whatever is bothering you. best of luck to your family. twk

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. I have tears in my eyes…Again…thank you. Michael is 22 - a full time student. He is not in school at this time (summer break) but is living at my brother’s place (while my brother is up North). He has been living there for 4 months but he seems distant. I can’t put my finger on it…perhaps it is “girl” problems or he feels lost. He is a good student but sometimes I feel that he is just going through the “motions.”. I pray to St.Monica and I know Mary, Jesus and my favorite Saints are hearing my prayers. I trust in Jesus! Thank you again for your support!
