A PRAYER FOR
THE VIRTUE OF TRUST

My trust is in sweet Jesus:
He is my passport to heaven!
I place my life in His gentle hands;
He will guide me along the rainbow.
My blind trust is His to guide,
May my soul reflect His light.
I look around and see Jesus’ help;
I know He is worthy of my trust.
Sweet Jesus, remain by my side,
Never letting my trust be shaken!
May I learn to share my trust with others,
So Jesus will be known to all!

Amen.
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name,
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth
as it is in Heaven
give us this day our daily bread,
forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not unto temptation, but
deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women, and
Blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and
to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
as now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen

God’s blessings on you and your family.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

My dear friends, my debt of gratitude to you each is beyond anything I can ever bless you for, and is incredibly humbling. I rely on God to thank you now and for eternity. Although I continue to feel of the effects of sorrow and hardship that the consequences of this difficulty is continuing to inflict on my dear son, I am aware that your generous and faithful prayers have helped to lift my grandson within three months of your faithful prayers, from being a confused, greatly immature and inarticulate and self-defeating person, into a young man who is articulate and balanced.

He bears the consequences of his earlier behaviour, (which still bear heavily in reality on his father) with sadness but without despair. Prior to this…as I’m very attuned to people, I was privately distressed by the uneasiness I sometimes felt in his presence, but now all is clean and bright. His atmosphere is so good, and it’s such a relief and a privilige. He will continue to struggle with some of the difficulties that come with his early struggles in his poor mother’s care, but God grant that he will find a secure place in employment and life. He certainly applies himself to any task without being asked, as does his sister, typical perhaps for children of single parents who self-motivate to do housework they see as needful “so Dad doesn’t have to do it when he gets home.”

This boy never asked for much. I’d ask what he wanted for Christmas. One year it was, sadly, “To be normal, like other boys” because he had learning difficulties and a degree of Aspergers. Another, “white chocolate and lots of hugs.”

For the first time he ever said anything like the following in an email this week…

"Hi Mum,

Just thought I would mention something xxxx said as I am working on the computer now (doing his paperwork for his little business) and xxxx was putting on part of dinner. For no reason he suddenly said that “I love my grandparents.” I said “what?” he said it again, then he said that “they are what grandparents should be, they are great”.
Thought that was nice. Can you tell dad please mum.’

Prior to this whenever I said “I love you” to xxxx he always said it back, but he was always so polite that you never knew what he thought. He also recently shared with me his idea of what furniture and furnishing style he would choose for a future home…it’s the first time he’s shared such opinions.

I want you to know these things because you have been so faithful. I’d never imagined you’d all pray on for this family as you’ve done. Some day I may be able to tell you all some other benefit that your prayers have surely helped to gain for my dear firstborn son. My heart still aches for him over those things that still press heavily upon him, but I have hope, and you have helped me to have hope with your gifts of faithful love and prayer.

My son asked me to thank you all for your prayers. He is very grateful

With much love, Trishie
