For the intentions of Trishie’s son and for his dear mother:

Hail, holy Queen,
Mother of mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry,
poor banished children of Eve:
to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then,
most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus,
O clement, O loving,
O sweet Virgin Mary!

Amen.

A PRAYER FOR
THE VIRTUE OF TRUST

My trust is in sweet Jesus:
He is my passport to heaven!
I place my life in His gentle hands;
He will guide me along the rainbow.
My blind trust is His to guide,
May my soul reflect His light.
I look around and see Jesus’ help;
I know He is worthy of my trust.
Sweet Jesus, remain by my side,
Never letting my trust be shaken!
May I learn to share my trust with others,
So Jesus will be known to all!

Amen.
AMEN

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come,

On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

TEXT:‌I Samuel 1:9-18

‌‌“And Hannah prayed” (I Samuel 2:1)

‌I want to begin this message with a question: How can a mother make the greatest impact on the lives of her children? I believe she can do this by praying earnestly, regularly and passionately for them. Through intercession both mothers and fathers can have a real and lasting influence in the lives of their children.

‌‌

‌This is what we call the ministry of intercession. Christ interceded for Peter. Christ intercedes for us at this very moment. The writer of Hebrews declares of Christ that “he ever lives to make intercession for them” (7:25). And no less than six times does Paul ask that believers intercede for him. As a matter of fact, Paul states in I Timothy 2:1 these words: “I exhort, therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” And that, especially, means our children.

‌Hannah was an intercessor. She prayed BEFORE Samuel was born and she prayed AFTER Samuel was born. In verse 10 of chapter 1 of Samuel we read: “She prayed unto the Lord,” and then in verse 12 we read: “And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the Lord.” Then after the birth of Samuel we have the prophetic prayer of Hannah in chapter 2 verses 1 through 10. Note again the words of verse 1: “And Hannah prayed.” Here was a mother who recognized that her greatest ministry was prayer.

‌What Hannah did every mother here must do. We must begin to pray fervently and regularly for our children.

:)Love of Christ Nancy

His Help in Trouble
God is our shelter and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken
and mountains fall into the ocean depths;
even if the seas roar and rage,
and the hills are shaken by the violence.
There is a river that brings joy to the city of God,
to the sacred house of the Most High.
God is in that city, and it will never be destroyed;
at early dawn He will come to its aid.
Nations are terrified, kingdoms are shaken;
God thunders and the earth dissolves.
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Come and see what the Lord has done.
See what amazing things He has done on earth.
He stops wars all over the world; he breaks bows, destroys spears,
and sets shields on fire.
“Stop fighting,” he says, “and know that I am God,
supreme among the nations, supreme over all the world.”
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46

Melissa, thank you so much! I didn’t think I was actually worrying, but I went to the doctor yesterday wondering if a lump that has been in my throat for a while was something to be concerned about…it’s a symptom of anxiety I’m told. I told my priest in Confession this morning of the lack of trust in God I felt this showed. He told me not to be so hard on myself and said it’s easy to be strong in praying for others, harder when it’s your own loved ones!

May God bless you, and our other friends who so faithfully pray for my eldest son’s family in their prolonged gethsemane. I ask God’s most tender and powerful blessing on you, and each who has prayed for us, and on your loved ones.

Thank you,

Love,

Trishie

Dear Trishie-

The Lord’s blessings be upon you. So many times I have been the object of prayer of others and the reason for the lighting of so many candles, and in that I find so much more the call to pray still again for those who pray. Now, it is my turn to pray for you among all the host of others who join you here on your knees. Our Father gives us so much when we exist in communion with Him both in worship and in prayer for the benefit of others. Oh it is indeed so much more blessed to give what we have isn’t it? For you it is my prayers.

Love,
Melissa

Lord I can’t thank these wonderful friends for their prayers and kindness as they deserve. Please thank them for me, and bless their families and protect them from all harm.

Thank You that you give me the graces to encourage and comfort my granddaughter and grandson when things seem too painful. My son I can’t help in any real way, so I beg You to.
Thank You, Lord.
