We got the news last week. I also wanted to lift up my Mom, who has already been going through a battery of trials (cancer, crippling debt she didn’t know about). She is a Christian, and very devout, but this is stretching her well past her natural ability to endure, and I wanted to pray that she would be consoled by the Holy Spirit.

Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (browser1), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Bdonoho’s Mother and Uncle. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Bdonoho’s Mother and Uncle’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Bdonoho’s Mother and Uncle, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Dear God, those of us with good health thank You for that, but we ask that you go to the aid of the two members of the OP’s family (uncle and mom) who are struggling with cancer right now. We ask that you quickly cure them both, knowing that for You, nothing is too hard. Oh God, Glorify Your Name and let us bring praises to You for healing these people so that others can hear of Your marvelous works for Your children. We pray in faith but trust in Your sovereignty and mercy and for Your will to be done above what we think is best. Your ways are higher than ours and Your ways are beyond finding out, so help us, especially the OP and his family, to trust You with the outcome and no matter what, know You are always in control over all things and not even one cancer cell can do anything that You do not first allow and is part of Your divine will.

Please also lift up and give strength to Your good servant, the OP’s mom, and help her not only with her cancer but with her debt and her peace of mind. In Jesus’ Name I humbly pray for all these intentions. Amen.
