Fuerza, am praying for your Wife, for her medical people (doctors, nurses, etc.), you, and all who love her. A group of about 25 to 30 is getting together tomorrow evening for Mass and I will ask Father if we could say a prayer for your Wife. [The Bishop here has given certain exceptions for evening Mass on holy days of obligation.] Please keep us posted here. Take good care of yourself, Fuerza. Your Wife needs you to be well. Remember, “No hay mal que por bien no venga.”
Prayer of apology and thanksgiving . . . is it not the fact that you and your Wife met a blessing in and of itself? In addition, the thread could be closed if only a couple of people post on it and I want to get the “thank You” in.
Prayer for Healing
Lord Jesus, Most Artistic Physician of all times,
Who created each of us so intricately unique that
…even each of our faces, having only two eyes,
…a nose, and mouth, is totally different.
Your Divinity, Lord, did not require any human doctorates.
You gently and eagerly resurrected the dead,
You healed the sick
Be it from physical or spiritual suffering,
Nothing was an obstacle to You, Lord:
For Your power and love are omnipotent.
Lord, because You never change,
We ask for Your tender healing love;
Please guide the human doctors who care for
Fuerza’s Wife;
Give the needed graces to the family;
Keep
Fuerza Wife’s body and soul vigorous
So that she may fulfill her daily duties.
And Lord, if we forget to thank You later on when
…all is well, please accept part of our
…thank You now and forgive us if this “thank You”
…is in any way a cop-out and
…offensive to Your Loving Heart.
We ask this in Jesus’ Sweet Name if it is for the most glory

Apology and Thanksgiving Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,
as we ask for forgiveness for not giving You thanks.
Please receive our heartfelt apology for the lack of gratitude.
Remind us at all times that You are always worthy of our thanks.
Thank You, Heavenly Father,
for all the graces and blessings
You have bestowed upon us:
our faith and religious heritage;
the Priests who bring us the Sacraments;
our life, food and shelter;
our health, the love we have for one another;
our family and friends.
Thank You for those things You so generously give us
…and of which we are not even aware.
Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us the grace of having
…less “give me” and more gratitude throughout the coming years
…so that we may be aware that anything from You is good
…for You turn the “bad” into blessings for us.
Please Lord, grant us the grace of not forgetting that we can thank You
