Actually, I thought St. Peter said “repent” not “believe”.
I do not understand your reasoning? Where in the Bible does it say that parents cannot have faith for their children? What about the Soilder whose faith was enough for Christ to heal his servant? Matthew 8:13 What about the paralytic in Matthew 9:2 and 6? “Jesus saw **THEIR **faith…” and forgave his sins…
Where in the bible does a new covenant not include everyone the old covenant included and more?
Adam and Eve - Couple
Noah - family
Abraham - tribe
Moses - Nation
David - empire
Jesus - World
We’re not talking about Peter. This comes straight from the Holy Spirit quoting Jesus.
Mar 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16
He that **believeth **and is baptized shall be saved; but
he that believeth not shall be damned.
Jhn 3:15 That whosoever **believeth **in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever **believeth **in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jhn 3:18 He that **believeth **on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jhn 3:36 He that **believeth **on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Jhn 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that **believeth **on me hath everlasting life.
Jhn 7:38 He that **believeth **on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Jhn 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that **believeth **in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Jhn 11:26 And whosoever liveth and **believeth **in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Jhn 12:44 Jesus cried and said, He that **believeth **on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
