May the Lord call them to be true Catholics.

May they understand that the Mass is there for them every Sunday and every day.

May they never again consider themselves too busy to give at least an hour a week to their Lord and Savior.

May they come to realize the grave sin that it is to miss Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation without appropriate reason.

May they not receive the Eucharist if they are in a state of mortal sin.

May they return to the sacraments fully, starting with a good confession and then regular reception of the Eucharist.

May they truly return home to the Church.

May our priests encourage this through their homilies.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

For your prayer intentions:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

God Bless You

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Let us worship Christ, whom the crowds acclaimed as King and Messiah as he entered Jerusalem. Let us joyfully proclaim:
  • Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna to you, Son of David and king of all the ages:
hosanna to you, victor over death and Hell.
You went up to Jerusalem to undergo the Passion and thus enter into glory:
lead your Church safely through to your eternal Paschal feast.
By your decree, the cross has become the tree of life:
give its fruit to all who are reborn in baptism.
Our Saviour, you came to bring salvation to sinners:
lead into your kingdom those who put their faith in it, hope for it, and love it.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Almighty and ever-living God,
you caused our Saviour to take on our human flesh and suffer on the Cross,
an example of humility for us to follow.
Grant, we ask you, that we may deserve
both to learn the lessons of his passion
and to share in his resurrection.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

When my oldest son was about 12 or 13 he said to me once, at either the christmas or easter mass, “Dad wouldn’t it be neat to see this many people at a Sunday mass during Ordinary Time”

Can you imagine seeing that!

Father, help them to see Christ is there in the Mass, Help their hearts to say, “Behold the Lamb of God.”

we also pray that those returning to Mass at this time be welcomed with open arms, and that regular church goers mover over and make room in the pews and refrain from glaring.

AMEN!

May The Lord unite us all in loving charity - mutual acceptance and concern … especially those Catholics lapsed from their Catholicism in any way…

Puzzleannie,

I totally agree with you! At least people are making the effort to come back! God bless them for that! Praying for all Cathoics to come back, regularly, if at possible.

O Lord Jesus Christ,
who said unto Your Apostles,
“Peace I leave with you,
My peace I give unto you,”
regard not our sins,
but the faith of Your church,
and grant unto her that peace and unity which
are agreeable to Your will,
who live and reign,
God, forever and ever.

Amen.
