Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask you guys to pray for me. I’m planning on going back to the Philippines this Summer, but my fear that I’ll go hysterical on the airplane keeps me from going. Please pray that I will be able to overcome this fear and go through with my plans. Oh and please pray for all of those paralyzed by fear, that fear may be replaced by trust in God. Thanks and God bless =)

Prayers that you (and others) overcome your fears.

Perhaps, if time isn’t an issue, you could get a birth on a freighter. They usually have a few birth available. It may not be the lap of luxurary that you would find on a cruise liner, but you may even have an opportunity to work for your passage, but be careful there. Also there is the option of a cruise ship to where or close to where you want to go. Speak to your Dr. about your anxiousity about flying and the Dr. may give you a one time script to get you through the flight. I am like you; I don’t care to fly. Praying that you have wings or water wings.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:27

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Dear God, give me courage,
for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.

I need courage before men against their threats
and against their seductions.

I need courage to bear unkindness,
mockery, contradiction.

I need courage to fight against the devil,
against terrors and troubles, temptations,
attractions, darkness and false lights,
against tears, depression, and above all fear.

I need Your help, dear God.

Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.

Console me with Your blessed Presence
and grant me the courage to persevere
until I am with You forever in heaven.

Amen.

One thing that may be helpful is to have
3 people you want to be a blessing to back
home, AND DO IT FOR THEM!!!

Hail Mary, full of grace,
blessed are you among women,
blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now and
at the hour of our death.
Amen.

I think that’s a great idea. Thanks GLam8833. I also wanted to thank Mary. That comment was just what I needed =), I’ve heard about doing a similar thing but I just don’t know where to inquire about it. Please let me know if you have more info about getting a birth on a freight thing. And thanks for all of you who have prayed for me, I truly appreciate it =)

You would probably need to find someone in the Merchant Marines, check Trade Papers, live near some overseas shipping ports. Also, you could contact a Travel agent near where you want to go. Make your computer work and you can probably find some of the info. you are looking for. Good luck.👍

Praying for your trip back to the Phillipines and that you will overcome your fear and be relaxed.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have
faith in God; have faith also in me.

O God, You are the preserver of men, and the keeper of our lives. We commit ourselves to Your perfect care on the journey that awaits us. We pray for a safe and auspicious journey.
Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. Let no evil befall us, nor any harm come to our dwelling that we leave behind. Although we may be uncertain of what the days may bring, may we be prepared for any event or delay, and greet such with patience and understanding.
Bless us O Lord, that we may complete our journey safely and successfully under Your ever watchful care.
Amen

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to their assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins my Mother;
to thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of thy Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy clemency hear and answer me.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee;
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;

Give us this day our daily bread;

but deliver us from evil. Amen.

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things
be done through Christ Jesus, Our Lord.
Amen ~
